Update – Has Now Got it Right

Back in 2012, our team took a look at We determined this online lottery service provider didn’t make the grade. has recently done a face lift on their site so it was time to take another look. There is no question they have cleaned up the site, but is that enough. Let’s go take a look.

Games at offers online purchasing for ten lotteries and one weekly special that is a combination of US Powerball and Mega Millions. This is straight individual tickets or subscriptions of five or ten draws. There are no syndicates (group plays) available. The service charges above the fact value of the tickets are clearly set out. The weekly special does seem to be a good value.

Pix6 and Winning

Prizes under USD 600 are credited straight to your account. For prizes over USD 600, players are provided with a form and their original ticket to collect their win. says they will help. Reading through their FAQ, it appears there are no fees or commissions taken on winnings. Withdrawals under $20 incur a $1 service charge. Note I said FAQ! There are no terms and conditions, and even finding the FAQ was a challenge. There is nothing on their menu, but requires digging into “Available Lotteries” and finding the highlighted info “How it Works”. There is no information on taxes.

Who Can Play?

There is no information regarding who can play except that you must be at least 18 years of age. The other interesting thing that we found was that you must use the name on the credit card and zip code of the cardholder. We’re guessing that this sorta indicates that you must be American. That’s the only place I know where zip code are used. Even Canada uses postal codes.

The Face Lift at

Part of the reason we went and took another look at is that their site designer was in touch with us announcing the face lift. Sorry, Debra – still not good enough. Before you spend any more time designing an online lottery service provider, I suggest you take a look at some of the basic elements of our trusted providers and re-read our original review.’s Customer Service

Getting in touch with, keep an eye on the clock. They are available from 8:00 to 1:30 Monday to Friday by telephone. There is also an email address – does anyone still use AOL as a provider? There is a location in Pennsylvania but no actual address and no live chat. There is a sister site – – where the FAQ does offer additional email addresses and does have its own menu tab. Click on anything there and it pops you to Why bother?

The Bottom Line at Pix6

There is no indication that this site is a scam, but – yes the big but – there are just too many things missing. Our team also couldn’t get their head around why would go to the trouble to set up a new site that simply links back to the original.

pros Good Weekly Special
pros Cleaner Site
pros Clear Times When Customer Service Is Available

cons No Terms & Conditions
cons Hard to Find FAQ
cons Limited Customer Service

Sorry Debra – we still give this site a thumbs down. You get full marks for cleaning the site up from the original noisy, messy display, but it still doesn’t meet the minimum requirements we use for playing lotteries online.

something similar, but I’ll state it in my own way:The lotrtey is a tax on the poor and on the ignorant.Do you realize that the lotrtey companies only give back about HALF of what they collect to winning tickets?!? In other words, for every $ 100,000 they collect from ticket sales, they only pay out around $ 50,000 to winning tickets. At a 50% payback rate, this EASILY makes lotrtey tickets the WORST bet on the planet! If you must play, buy just ONE quick pick ticket once in a while when the jackpot is big. For the cost of a buck, it’s worth it to give you that dream of hitting it big . Any more spent than that is a total waste of money. As far as casinos go, just know one thing above all else: Casinos were built for ONE REASON ONLY that is to TAKE your money, not to give you any! Sure it’s possible to win once in a while, but in the long run you WILL LOSE! If you ever fool yourself into thinking otherwise, then you are a fool who will soon be parted with their money.OK, with that said, casinos are still WAY, WAY better than buying lotrtey tickets! If you have a good attitude, and treat casinos like a form of entertainment, they can be quite fun. Just go with the understanding that you are SPENDING money to have a good time.

Great attitude re casinos and agree though I do play lotteries and do have fun. Check out some of the different lotteries and what they fund. The California lottery supports education. Some lotteries fund health research and different support mechanisms for states and governments. There are only a few where the money actually goes back to company! I do enjoy checking my numbers to see what I have won! But you are right – only play with what we can pay! Nick
