Pix6.com – Messy, Messy and Messy Again!

Pix6.com is an online service owned by Gaming PA, a US company. The first alarm bell that goes off is that they claim they were the first online company in American established in 1985. Next is their claim that they are the original and most reliable ‘official Pennsylvania-based state lotto ticket services” but offers no information to support this. Pix6.com provides a service to purchase lottery tickets on behalf of customers in the USA, Canada and Germany providing access to 11 lotteries.

See our Recommended & Approved Lottery Ticket Sellers.

Who is Pix6

Though Pix6.com has an ‘About’ page, it simply lists their contact details. If a player is really interested in finding out more about the owners ‘Gaming PA’ and go to their web site, there isn’t much more information. You can ‘meet’ the ‘Social Media Diva’ Debra who ‘if you would like to have brilliantly written content written daily, posted to the social media world… call me or drop me an email!  I would love to talk to you… and help you get visitors to your Website! Okay, I’m guessing she didn’t actually have anything to do with Pix6.com’s website.

It is generally messy with an array of different fonts, color and a challenge to find actual information. This is not a pretty site folks. A lot of the text showing on the Home page of Pix6.com is incomplete, with words misspelled and areas where the use of color makes it hard to read. But what about the content – the lotteries?

Getting Started at Pix6.com

Pix6.com offers to facilitate the purchase of tickets to 11 lotteries in the USA (SuperLotto Plus, Powerball, Mega Millions, etc.), Canada and Germany. They underline that they won’t just send copies of your tickets to you by email but will actually fax them. Who still has fax? Simply register on line, they will send you  your Player ID within 24 hours, and you can start purchasing lottery tickets.

They offer up to a $20 guarantee for first time customers on their service but do underline the fact that if you start with a payment of $30, only $20 would be refundable.

The site also offers advice on how to receive incoming emails due to some spam filters or blockers. Not sure they though maybe this is in part because of the email addresses they send from – see below.

Payment options are limited to the credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card.

Pix6.com Customer Service

Pix6.com offers support by email, telephone, fax or snail mail. In looking at their snail mail address, it’s hard to figure out exactly there they are. This is supposedly a company in Pennsylvania but the address has six digit postal code (maybe) along with a place called “Dordegt” and refers to “WC”.  Their phone numbers are located in Pennsylvania with a 1-800 number also available and a variety of email addresses.

But the email address are mostly @aol.com excluding the webmaster and contact to their blog (who both have an @pix6.com address). This really does not look professional nor does it take branding into consideration.  These folks could be anyone answering your email.

Pix6.com Issues

We found negative comments about the design of the site and its user-friendliness [topix.com]. Our team reported that the links to Lottery News and Winning Numbers are almost identical and do not feature what you’d expect. For a US company, the English displayed on the site is awkward and the information provided hard to read through.

The Bottom Line for pix6.com

The whole set-up at Pix6.com has compelled us to deliver a thumbs down. The terms and conditions are buried in the FAQ and not well explained. Pix6.com is awkward to use, messy to try and find information (our team reported eye strain). It does not engender confidence in sharing over your personal and credit card details. They say they are ‘official’ but offer nothing to support this!

Pros:

pros Good Question
pros None

Cons:

cons Lack of Professionalism
cons Difficult to Find Information
cons No Info on Who They Really Are

There are a lot of good online lottery services in the market that instill confidence and trust with their customers. Pix6.com definitely doesn’t do that! The Team gives them a big thumbs down!

something similar, but I’ll state it in my own way:The lotrtey is a tax on the poor and on the ignorant.Do you realize that the lotrtey companies only give back about HALF of what they collect to winning tickets?!? In other words, for every $ 100,000 they collect from ticket sales, they only pay out around $ 50,000 to winning tickets. At a 50% payback rate, this EASILY makes lotrtey tickets the WORST bet on the planet! If you must play, buy just ONE quick pick ticket once in a while when the jackpot is big. For the cost of a buck, it’s worth it to give you that dream of hitting it big . Any more spent than that is a total waste of money. As far as casinos go, just know one thing above all else: Casinos were built for ONE REASON ONLY that is to TAKE your money, not to give you any! Sure it’s possible to win once in a while, but in the long run you WILL LOSE! If you ever fool yourself into thinking otherwise, then you are a fool who will soon be parted with their money.OK, with that said, casinos are still WAY, WAY better than buying lotrtey tickets! If you have a good attitude, and treat casinos like a form of entertainment, they can be quite fun. Just go with the understanding that you are SPENDING money to have a good time.

      Widodo,

Great attitude re casinos and agree though I do play lotteries and do have fun. Check out some of the different lotteries and what they fund. The California lottery supports education. Some lotteries fund health research and different support mechanisms for states and governments. There are only a few where the money actually goes back to company! I do enjoy checking my numbers to see what I have won! But you are right – only play with what we can pay! Nick
