The Lottery Office Review

When you take a look at the Lottery Office’s website, you’ll probably be impressed. It’s clean, it’s functional, and there are promises of supporting local charitable causes through the games that you play.

Speaking of local, this is an Australian online agent and operator, enabling the purchase of tickets for some of the world’s biggest games. So, what makes it unique, if there’s such a thing at all? The following The Lottery Office review will try to answer these questions and then some more.

Whether it is playing their regular games or one of their syndicates, this down-under company has a straightforward site that explains what they offer and how to get your winnings. Let’s take a more in-depth look.

Games at gives customers access to the jackpots of 8 international lottery games. To win from these lotteries customers buy tickets into the Lottery Office’s Government licensed lotteries, which are:

USA Mega Lotto (matching tickets are bought in the US Mega Millions)

Mega Lotto

USA Power Lotto (matching tickets are bought in the US Powerball)

Power Lotto

European Millions (matching tickets are bought in the EuroMillions)

European Millions

Italian Super Jackpot (matching tickets are bought in the SuperEnalotto)

European Jackpot (matching tickets are bought in the Eurojackpot)

Spanish La Primitiva (matching tickets are bought in the La Primitiva)

UK Lotto (matching tickets are bought in the National UK Lottery)

They also offer syndicate options, and these regularly change from draw to draw, depending on what big jackpots are available at the time. There are four different lottery combos to choose from. The USA Combo gives tickets to the USA Mega Lotto and USA Power Lotto. The Euro Combo gives tickets to the European Millions and European Jackpot. They also offer entry into the 2 USA lotteries and the European Millions with the USA/Euro Combo, and the All Lotteries Combo gives entry into each of their lotteries.

Winning at Lottery Office

Winners do not have to travel overseas to collect any big winnings themselves, as is the case with some other online lottery services. The Lottery Office collects all winnings from the matching overseas lotteries and pays winners the same amount that they collected. For players who win under $10,000, their money is transferred directly into their account. Jackpot winners and wins over $10,000, winners are contacted directly to discuss the arrangements. Winners remain anonymous so that their privacy is protected.

Winnings that are withdrawn from accounts will be paid by bank transfer, and this can take 2-3 business days.

There are no commissions, and all lotteries are Australian tax-free. Of course, some of the lotteries are taxed in the countries where the matching tickets are purchased, however many of their lotteries are tax-free. Customers don’t need to be worried about dealing with the overseas lottery taxes, however, because The Lottery Office collects the prizes, minus any taxes, and then pays winners the same amount.

Also, keep in mind, that their jackpots are advertised in Australian dollars, and not the currency of the matching overseas lotteries.

The Lottery Office’s App

There is an excellent Lottery Office app that lets customers play anywhere on their iOS or Android devices. It’s very clear and simple to use, even for beginners. It has all the same features as its website and lets customers login with a PIN code. It can be downloaded from the App Store (for the iOS version), Google Play (for the Android version), or The Lottery Office website for both.

Lottery Office Customer Service

The Lottery Office has a live chat, which operates from 9-5, Monday to Friday. They also have an email (, a Get in Touch form, and are available on Messenger. Even though we contacted them outside of support hours, they responded within 10 minutes with a helpful reply, which is very impressive. With these kinds of options, it’s pretty easy to get a hold of someone to answer your questions, though the site itself is pretty clear, with an extensive collection of FAQs. We were able to find the answers to almost any questions we had with these.

The Lottery Office has an affiliate program. If you’re interested in promoting its brand, a commission rate starts at 18% and rises over time.

Who is

To make the review comprehensive, we also need to take a look at the company behind the project.

The Lottery Office is owned and operated by the Global Players Network Pty Ltd, which has been registered and licensed in the Northern Territory and the Australian Government since 2003. It’s not affiliated with any specific lottery but facilitates the purchase of lottery tickets online.

If you want to get in touch, there’s an address on the Lottery Office website. A contact form is also available for you to fill out and expect a response to your inquiry.

Other Bits and Pieces

The Lottery Office Australia reviews don’t point towards something troublesome. Naturally, there are some complaints, but we didn’t come across anything major as far as the reputation of the entity is concerned.

We need to check out a few additional functionalities and features of the Lottery Office app. It does offer syndicate play if you want to join efforts with other lottery enthusiasts and improve your odds of winning a prize.

There are both domestic and international lotto syndicates, and you can learn more about these opportunities by going to the respective page on the website.

Is the Lottery Office Legit?

This Australian online lottery provider is a safe and secure way for Australians and New Zealanders to win from huge overseas jackpots. It’s easy to find and contact, and their FAQs answer most questions. They are registered and don’t hide behind multiple locations all over the world. There is nothing shady or illegitimate about the service.

Our team gives a thumbs up. They stick to tax-free lotteries, which do make things easier when it comes to taking that jackpot to the bank!

  1. I’ve played with a few of these overseas lotteries companies over the years and I’ve found The Lottery Office to be the best. I’m not the most technical person, but I do enjoy a punt and the support team are always happy to help me any time Im stuck on something. The other companies don’t have local support teams which can make dealing with them difficult. I also prefer spending my money with an Australian owned company.

  2. I heard about The Lottery Office on 2GB and thought I would try them out. So far I’ve tried a few different lotteries and have had some small wins. The app is easy to use and I like that they are Australian owned. I had some questions about lotto systems and the support team answered me straight away. So far so good.

  3. What I find amusing is Australia bashed Lottoland called them fake lottery and was bagged for gambling but Lottoland was more affordable and had wide range of games, registered & regulated by NT Govt. I recently joined and played few of Lotteryoffice games its way expensive imho lotteryoffice should be banned after all its gambling your money away and the costs is way more than what Lottoland was charging before Australia banned them.
USA POWER syndicate I paid $15.00 for 1 lousy share and get big win $0.69c. Italian S.J syndicate 2 shares cost $20 won $3.80.
EU millions cost $9.50 LOSS. USA POWER lotto cost $7.00 LOSS.
USA MEGA Lotto cost $7.00 win $2.98
Total outlay $58.50 total wins $7.47 so I have lost $41.03c that ill never get back. Goldlotto, lotteryoffice are just a scam take your money they should all be banned.

    • Hi Kat,

Your feedback is appreciated however we would like to clarify a couple of points. In the past Lottoland offered bets on the outcome of lotteries and currently offers bets on the outcome of financial markets. They do not purchase tickets in overseas lotteries. The Lottery Office works very differently as we purchase real tickets in international lotteries. When you purchase a ticket in one of our government approved lotteries, we purchase a matching ticket in the matching overseas draw. If the matching ticket wins, we collect the prize money and then pay you the exact same amount.

Our ticket price covers the cost of purchasing the matching ticket in the overseas draw, all our operating costs, a percentage to Australian charities and community groups and hopefully a bit of profit. Given that Lottoland do not incur the cost of purchasing a ticket in the overseas lottery, they are able to offer their ‘bets’ slightly cheaper than our lottery tickets.

As we do not have any influence on the lottery results and wins are based on odds, we at The Lottery Office continue to keep our fingers crossed for a big win for any of our customers. Please note, that when purchasing syndicates, you are sharing in the cost of purchasing a large number of games and you will also be sharing any winnings with the rest of the members in your syndicate, which can result in small win amounts.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly

  4. Hi,

My concern is that the ticket purchaser/s are not the legal owner of the actual tickets but the lottery office is the legal owner of all tickets purchased. Now, whilst smaller prizes have been paid out to winners and some relatively big prizes, should I win the ‘mega jackpot’ I have no legal rights to the prize at all. It’s easier to pay out smaller prizes but when it comes to tens and hundreds of millions of dollars I hate to think of the worst. I’m pretty sure people buying tickets for overseas mega draws including myself have our eyes set on the big jackpot prize. The reality is every ticket purchased from the lottery office isn’t owned by the purchaser and this is where the danger lies.
My question is how do we “the customers” be guaranteed the big jackpot payout when we don’t have legal ownership of the ticket? Besides the usual response of we collect and pay you the same amount, what other assurance/s can you give us?

    • Hi Anamay,

The Lottery Office is Government licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory of Australia. Our operations are continuously audited by our regulator with major processes and financials audited by them as well. One of the main functions of the audit process is to ensure that all winnings no matter how big or small are paid out to our winners.

You do get a real ticket with The Lottery Office that entitles you to collect from us the exact same amount that we collect in winnings from the matched overseas lottery draw as per the conditions of our license.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly

  5. Hi, it’s very surprising every time I play this lottery, I happen to win few cents and this makes me wonder if this Lottery is legit?
This is the 4 th time I have played and won few cents.
Any suggestions or feedback will be appreciated.

    • Hi, we are sorry to hear you haven’t won big yet!

Up to now, your winnings have been the result of syndicate entries you have played. Syndicates are a great way to increase your chances of winning prizes without spending a huge amount of money. A lottery syndicate refers to a group of people who pool money, buy several lottery tickets and consequently share the prizes they get.

As we do not have any influence on the lottery results and wins are based on odds, we at The Lottery Office continue to keep our fingers crossed for a big win for any of our customers.

The parent company of The Lottery Office has been licensed by the Northern Territory Government operating for over 17 years. You can view some of our lucky Australian winner’s stories, including the NSW resident who took home $1.6Million, here:
