    I did an offer through 20 cogs and there was no mention of an ongoing subscription.. they have been taking £19.80 a week from my account and I couldn’t find out how to cancel.. being a single mother and funds are tight that is a lot for me.
    I have contacted them via their online chat on their website and have been assured that my subscription has been cancelled, I have also had an email confirming it.. I have screenshotted the conversation I had in their website.. now it’s just a waiting game as to if they try and take more money from me!

  3. Signed up through 20coggs. They have been taking £11.90 per week from my account. Went online to cancel account but can’t find any way of doing this. To make sure that this company will not get another penny from me I will visit my bank tomorrow to ensure that they are blocked from taking any further payments. Absolutely disgusting. I’m struggling enough financially without paying over £40 a month for nothing.

  6. So I have to give at least 1 star. Exact same issue as everyone else. When signing up there is no clear indication (also did on my smart phone) that you need to continue for the whole free trial. I’ve tried to cancel several times straight after and nothing. This needs to be clearer!!!

  7. Playlottery is a scam it’s very difficult to get out of. I thought I’d cancelled but they still took £19,80 off me. I’ve put a block on with my bank. Bad company that I’ve been trying to contact but they don’t answer the phone

  8. Technically it is not a scam… but they use weaselly words and scammy-esk marketing techniques to trap you into weekly spend (which is very costly), the offered online customer services is non existent and the cancellation process is slow and not easy.

  10. I just signed up for the £1 Euro-millions offer, it clearly stated that if I didn’t cancel I would be charged the £11.90 etc that people are calling a scam. Just had to post a positive review since the only people that have posted are those that didn’t read before clicking.

    As far as I can see it is completely legit. Your online profile clearly shows when and how much you will be charged.

  11. Total Scam. Seriously… I Initially saw a discount deal on SwagBucks offering reward points for signing up to PlayLottery, and purchasing 55 jackpot chances for £1. I triple checked the details and nowhere did it state that I would be charged a weekly fee of £11.90… after the purchase, I then realised my mistake as both the email and membership page stated the next payment was due in 2 days and to be continued… Misleading rip off, but luckily I managed to find this page, as well as contact them immediately to terminate my membership, but not before contacting my banking provider who swiftly put a block on all future payments to PlayLottery. They have since informed me that my account has been terminated, so its a lesson learned! Don’t be fooled!

  12. Just discovered why my credit card has been so costly over the past 3/4 months when I’ve hardly been using it. Yes, PlayLottery have been helping themselves to £18 weekly plus charges. It comes to a sum I can no way afford and to which I would not have agreed.
    Of course, as a professional company, I have no doubt they will refund it.

  13. I signed up a few days ago thinking it would only cost £1. (Boy was I wrong ) it tried to take £11.90 out but the bank stopped it. I want to cancel my subscription but for some reason I can’t sign into my account and it keeps saying that my email isn’t registered with them.   15. I’ve given these fraudsters 1 star, but id really like to give them negative stars. I took out a subscription using their pay £1 entry. Because I joined using a smart phone it was absolutely NOT clear at the time of joining that I would be further charged. These scammers then withdrew £11.90 per week for three weeks, even though I emailed them to a) reset my password to check what I’d signed up to myself and b) cancel my account. Their customer service is appalling as they are no help whatsoever and basically don’t give a toss that they’ve fleeced me out of £34. As they wouldn’t refund me, I chalked it up to stupidity and an experience not to be repeated. However, I did win a tiny amount of £2.80 and withdrew this. I’m still waiting for the money which I suspect I will never get and when I emailed them they haven’t even bothered to reply. Don’t sign up to this they are total scammers steer well clear as you’ll lose your money and never win a thing. Should get their licence revoked. Oh, and if they reply to this saying everything was clear in the initial email and text message that they were going to charge me weekly then I can categorically state it was not as I would sign up to that kind of money per week.

  16. Play lottery took £11.90 out of my account when I only wanted to deposit £1. Straight after I deposited £1 there was a pop up telling me I would be charged £11.90 in two days for the subscription and the money was already on its way out of my bank!

    They mislead you to take your money, it’s not worth it!

  29. I joined this to get some promotion on a game app, I joined and played £1. I didn’t pick any other lines it just does it automatically on it’s own and takes your money on it’s own without asking , they say that it clearly says it but is does not say they are automatically going to pick you lines and take your money, I only had my electric money in my bank and year have just taken it for lottery I did not pick or wanted to play, now I’m going to be without electric because these just robbed my money, I try to cancel the lines after reading here but it still says that it playing and now it just says swap even though I cancelled the lines, absolute scam and they know what they are doing they have everything hidden on you and have some sort of small print to try back their selves up, I cancelled my lines so I could still have electric in my home but they aren’t paying me back, they just sit and laugh at people.
