LotoKlub Exposed — Extremely Poor Communication
Looking at LotoKlub.com, this online lottery provider seemed familiar. There are 17 international lotteries to choose from for individual tickets and group play. Surfing around, it all looked pretty straightforward.
Then we started taking a more in-depth look the questions began to pile up. Getting in touch with LotoKlub is not so easy. The email address and phone number don’t work. So, what’s the story?
Games at LotoKlub.com
Players can choose any of 17 international lotteries either through purchasing individual tickets or group play. This includes the usual mega jackpots of US Powerball and EuroMillions to lottery games in Australia and Austria. Ticket lines can be purchased one or more, and multiple draws are available for 4, 12, 24 and 48 weeks though there are no discounts.
LotoKlub’s Smart Play
Players have the option to ‘smart play’ where they can choose additional numbers for each ticket line. The concept is the more numbers on a ticket, the better the odds to win. Of course, each additional number on the ticket line costs more money.
Any of the 17 international lotteries with online lottery provider LotoKlub.com is available through group play. All group play has 150 shares though it looks like this is shared with 100. They have a funny little thing that says you will only get your share amount times 2/3s of the total jackpot. Most of the group play includes 50 ticket lines.
Purchase VIP Package of Millionaire
LotoKlub offers four VIP packages of combinations of tickets for group play including Platinum (1440 tickets), Gold VIP (1,200 tickets), Silver VIP (660 tickets) and Bronze VIP (220 tickets). There is no information on their site on how many shares (though they do say in other places all their groups include 150 shares).
LotoKlub.com and Winnings
LotoKlub will collect your winnings on your behalf most of the time. They do say you might have to do it yourself and it will be at your cost. If you nail one of those jackpots that offer the choice of installments or lump sum, it will be collected as a lump sum. This will be less any taxes, fees, and/or commission. There is no information on how quickly the money is put into your account. LotoKlub.com will take 10% commission on winnings of USD 1,000,000 or higher. There is also no information about how quickly you can withdraw your winnings. The minimum withdrawal amount is €25 or the equivalent in the currency of your choice.
Welcome Bonus, Gift Bonus & Refer a Friend
Newbies get a welcome bonus of €2 at registration. This can only be used to play lotteries and cannot be withdrawn. There is also an ongoing gift bonus of €10 for every €200 you deposit into your account. Refer a Friend and get a free participation in a lottery pool. Your friend has to open an account and buy some tickets within 30 days. Keep in mind, any winnings from free participation can’t be withdrawn from your account. You can only use it to play more lotteries. There are also frequent player points.
Who Can Play at LotoKlub.com?
The only restrictions that seem to apply to play at LotoKlub are players must be 18 years or older and allowed to play from wherever they reside.
Try to Talk to LotoKlub
LotoKlub.com is owned and operated by a company registered in the United Kingdom. There is a snail mail address in London. There is also an email address and phone number. Oops, the email address has an error message of “550 Unroutable address “. Hmm, and the phone number doesn’t work. Click on “Live Chat,” and a window opens to sign up either through Facebook or a Google account. There is no way to bypass this.
The Bottom Line and LotoKlub.com
I can’t get past the problems with getting in touch with these folks. We had questions. This put the brakes on any concept of sharing personal information. We did also take a look at one of their other sites GSLotto.com and found similar issues.
