Players select their favorite five numbers between 1 and 49 or simply go for a quick pick. The next decision is whether you want to play both Monday and Thursday, and then whether you want to choose to play for 1 to 8 weeks. Subscriptions are also available. Keep in mind there is a £100 cap on the amount you can spend at any one time. The lottery game is available both on your computer and as an app on your smartphone. One ticket for one draw is £1.
What Can You Win
Pick all five numbers correctly and the jackpot prize is £25,000. There is a five-tiered prize chart going down from 4 numbers plus a bonus ball to win £2,000, to 2 numbers for a fast pick entry. If there are say 4 or more jackpot winners, it’s capped at £100,000, that amount is divided among the winners. There is also a £500,000 cap for the total amount of prizes paid out on any single draw.
Getting Your Winnings
Winning the 2 to 5-tier level, the prize is paid directly into your account, or for direct debit people, it is paid into your bank account. I’m not exactly sure how they’d pay the 5 tier prize of a fast-pick lottery ticket. Win the jackpot and there is further documentation that the Scottish Children’s Lottery asks for prior to paying it into your bank account. Prizes are delivered within 14 days of any request for additional documentation. Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw.

Seriously don’t know how this works I’ve spent a good amount each week on tickets even had emails saying I’ve won a prize and signed into my account and my funds are still zero plus after the draw it still says awaiting results???

Who pays for the ad nauseum advertising for this, must be the most annoying ad on TV ever! Have to mute every time! Also reported that very little of the money goes to Scottish children! What’s going on here!

Absolute scandal!! This lottery start up some years back was funded by STV to the tune of 4 million pounds which is to be repaid to STV over 4 years. The registered office is I believe in the bowels of the STV offices.
I remember the first telly adverts on STV for this lottery and the small print bottom left of the advert stating that 30p went to children’s charities. After a short period of time, the small print disappeared altogether.
It looks like STV will be coining it in through the constant advertising for this lottery and rental costs for the lottery office space. You really couldn’t make it up!
I used to listen in disbelief that a STV programme was actually sponsored by The Scottish Children’s Lottery, – yes! Some of the £1.00 you play is sponsoring other STV programs
For a private broadcasting company to be involved in a lottery in this fashion is in my mind absolutely outrageous.
So it seems to me that The Scottish Children’s Lottery is a nice little earner for STV.
I have never bought into the Scottish Children’s Lottery for these reasons and never will.
I feel that most people who are playing this lottery are unaware just how every pound they play is being spent. Just wish they would take the time to find out.
