If you’re into playing games online and entering competitions, the range of things to win at Winneroo might be the place for you. Then again, like all sites that offer “free” prizes, there has to be a cost somewhere.
What Is Winneroo?
Winneroo is a free prize winning site where players can win yes – free prizes. It has a bunch of different games to play both in simply enter to win to scratch cards, Spinneroo, All Stars, Share Champions and Facebook competitions. The All Stars and Share Companions are monthly games where players earn points and whoever is on the top of the leaderboard each month wins. Most competitions for prizes seem to run from seven days to a month.
Who Can Participate?
According to Winneroo, anyone who is 18 years old or older can play for prizes on their site. But to actually receive a prize you have to have a UK address. You create an account through your Facebook page. Each person can only have one Winneroo account.
What Are the Prizes Offered by Winneroo?
Don’t be looking for a major jackpot win at Winneroo. Daily prizes range from £20 in vouchers to £100 in cash. Vouchers include a credit with Pizza Express, Toys R Us, Tesco, Sports Direct and Uber – to name a few. Each game/prize opportunity is open to all so there is no way to know the actual odds.
Who Owns Winneroo?
Ludos Interactive Ltd. owns Winneroo.com, a company registered in England and Wales. They have a snail mail address in London, email address and online form. There isn’t a telephone number or live chat. Customer service is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What Are the Terms & Conditions?
Each of the different types of games has their own terms and conditions though most of it all sounds alike. Winneroo is fairly straightforward that they are doing this to send you marketing and promotional material. They do say that they won’t share your info with anyone else, so you won’t be receiving all kinds of spam, but given the amount of different companies represented by the prizes, you will be getting mail!
How to Collect a Prize?
Winners will be notified and need to respond within 14 days of winning any prize. Getting your prize seems fairly straight forward. Inside your “My Account” page, click on “My Prize”. The first time, you’ll have to add your UK snail mail address. Your prize will arrive within 28 days. If you haven’t received it by then, get in touch with Winneroo otherwise they will assume you have it.
Winneroo Feedback and Complaints
Looking around the web, it was incredible the amount of links we found to Winneroo including some online casinos. Because of that, it was hard to get and see what people had to say. Scamadvisor.com did put Winneroo in the high risk category, though there was no information on why.
Is Winneroo.com Scam or Legit?
Winneroo seems legit though it is a little strange that the only way to create an account is through your Facebook page. I get that it’s an easy way to build players as they can link into your friends. You do get a point for each friend that decides to play. But that’s not the kind of thing I want to share with my friends.
Bottom Line at Winneroo.com
What I think is hilarious is the fact that you don’t seem to actually have to reside at the UK address you use to claim a prize. You simply have to have a UK address for delivery. The other issue here re the prizes and games is there is no information on odds.
Lots of different games and competitions to enter
Easy to join through Facebook
Hey, it’s free
No mega jackpots here
Don’t like the idea of joining with my Facebook account
Just how much marketing and promotional material am I going to get
Sorry – these folks get a thumb’s down. The cost of playing here seems to me to be trolling through lots of advertising. Add to this, the fact Winneroo links into your Facebook ID to set up your account was enough for me to say – not me!
