What’s The Trick to Winning the Lotto?

Winning the Lotto

The Fox Has Many Tricks

Five years ago, the television illusionist, Derren Brown, promised to predict the winning numbers for the UK’s lottery. There were a whole lot of conspiracy theories surrounding this. Many people accused that it was all rigged, split screens were being used, it was previously filmed and changed… You name it; it was thought to be true.

A lot of people ask the question if he really can predict the lottery, why isn’t he winning the lottery all the time? These people are right! I know I would be using whatever tricks I knew to win the lottery! Hello, big money!

Well, whether Derren Brown’s method (which is complex and a little too confusing for my taste) works or if it is more games, some people believe that there are tricks to winning the lotto. We all want to know these so-called tricks. Well, that’s what I’m here for! I’ll let you be the judge if they will work or not.

Pick the Winning Game

Not all games are created equal. Now, I knew that there were different polls for each game, but I didn’t see the difference between the Pick 6 and the Powerball except one had a much larger prize. Call it naive, but I thought they were all at a state level. Well, I quickly learned that the reason the jackpot is so huge is that Powerball is a national game. Do you know what that means…? More people are trying to win my… um… the jackpot. If you stick to a smaller state game, like the Pick 6, you have fewer people trying to win. You know… Go from the billions of people who play Powerball to the mere millions who play the pick 6.

The More the Merrier

Common sense tells you that you can better your odds by purchasing more tickets. The problem is you’re spending more money, and you still have poor odds of winning. If you participate in a lottery pool at the office or amongst your friends, you can improve your odds without spending more money. The caveat? If you win, you have to split the winnings!

Make Your Ticket Look Pretty

I don’t mean draw hearts and flowers on it — I’m talking about when you can select your numbers. People have been known to use patterns, diagonal lines, lines, and other methods to choose their numbers. Did this work for them? I’m guessing not. But hey… At least they were being creative.

Listen to Past Winners

Richard Lustig from Orlando, Florida has won the lottery jackpot seven times. He has some tips that he’s used to winning. If you ask him, he’ll tell you quite frankly that there is no luck when it comes to winning the lottery.

He did an interview with Good Morning America and here are some of the tips he shared with them:

– Pick your own numbers instead of having the machine do it for you

– Research and see if your numbers have won before

– Pick ten sets of numbers and keep those if you continue buying tickets

– Buy as many tickets as you can afford

Richard has a 40-page book that you can purchase if you want to know more, but it will set you back $36 on Amazon.com. Sounds to me like he’s cashing in on his method. Looking at the reviews though? Eh… Maybe you’d be better off not buying the book. Perhaps the book was the real jackpot — the book is nearly a dollar per page! Cashing in on all of us suckers who want his information — shame, shame.

  1. I think lottery is the same as trying to guess airtime recharge voucher you can’t guess the numbers the trick is to find out how those numbers are calculated or whatever but you can’t guess.
