Princess Margaret Home Lottery Exposed

Princess Margaret Home Lottery Review

A lottery with an impressive name like Princess Margaret Home Lottery sounds like something fun, and it is! The Canadian lotto was set up to support a good cause, and today, it offers rewards much bigger than they’ve ever been before.

Previously Princess Margaret Home Lottery winners could expect a top reward in the form of a one-million-dollar property, now the grand prize has been boosted to 7.2 million dollars. Unlike other popular lotteries like LottoMax or WCLC, Princess Margaret Home Lottery majorly deals with homes. Let’s start with the basics to give you a complete idea about the nature of Princess Margaret Lotto.

Is 24Lottos better than other lotteries?

What Is Princess Margaret Home Lottery All about?

The Princess Margaret Home Lottery was set up years ago in Ontario, Canada, to fund cancer research and support patient care. Some folks got the idea that the builders could put up some homes and retailers could donate other assets to raise funds. This is not so much a lottery as a sweepstake that people buy tickets for. It’s not a cheap one with individual tickets costing 100 dollars.

At the same time, there are several reasons why spending this much money is a good idea.

  • Princess Margaret Home Lottery was set up to fund cancer research, education, and home care. These folks are amazing and are recognized internationally in the fight against cancer. All of the money from ticket purchases goes to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. The foundation is responsible for covering all expenses connected to running the lottery and paying out prizes to the winners. Whatever remains in the form of income is made available to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Ever since 1996, the lottery has contributed more than 355 million dollars to the center, which enables cancer research ad better treatments. In fact, through the years, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre has become one of the top five cancer research facilities in the world.
  • Another reason why you should give Princess Margaret a try is less altruistic. The odds of winning a prize from that lotto are pretty good- 1 in 29. Taking into consideration the nature and the size of the rewards will most definitely justify giving the game a try.

A final question remains to be answered here, and it is whether you can play Princess Margaret Home Lottery online. We’ll check that detail out later on in the review.

Is Princess Margaret Home Lottery Legit?

This is a sweepstake that offers pretty good odds at a hefty price. If you have 100 dollars to spare, you may want to give it a try because you can win some fun prizes while supporting cancer research.

Princess Margaret Home Lottery is legitimate, and it does support an amazing cause. If you have some interest in winning a beautiful house or a Ferrari, this may be the lottery for you. Keep in mind that tickets come at a hefty price. Even though the odds are favorable, this is still a problem you have to be mindful of.

  1. After reading all of these comments, I think we have a McMillions scam going on here. Who do we reach out to have them investigated, fined and put in jail?

    00
  2. It’s a bit jaw-dropping to see how in just the last year they have ramped up ticket sales (and reduced everyone’s odds of winning) from about 350,000 to 1,000,000 tickets. Go back 20 years, and it used to be about 200,000, plus there were more (usually closer to 10) livable homes and condos (many actually in Toronto, not far-flung suburbs) you could win. Today, it’s just a few wildly overpriced mansions that no one could afford to keep, and will be very disappointed with as soon as they are put on the market and realize a much lower actual selling price. So “winning” a big prize here means you suddenly have a big PITA and have to prepare to sell the place asap.

The lack of transparency is also a concern. For repeated draws now, they do not even have pictures to post until the draw is nearly sold out. They also have repeatedly not included any details about secondary prizes, just advertising “40,000” of them, or whatever. It’s been impossible to find timely information about these other small prizes, the ones you are most likely to win anyway. Plus, most of them are not even worth $100, so below the basic value of a ticket.

This, I think, is part of why alternatives like 50/50 charity lotteries are taking off all over. While only offering one prize (and maybe some small early birds), these draws are simple and efficient and give 50% back to the charity with less overhead costs and a shorter time frame.

This is a legit lottery and a good cause. But sadly, I think the PMHF lottery has jumped the shark.

    • Just in reply to the comment about pictures not available before tickets sell out. I have seen in at least one instance a few years ago that I believe the home was still under construction when ticket sales were happening. I think the builders at times have some very tight deadlines on these projects.

  3. Just won a “neck massager” current fall 2020, spring 2021 where the cash calendar is still active and expires in August. I check daily and the Fri 100k looks so attractive

  4. I’ve participated in maybe 4-5 draws. A couple of years ago I won $10,000 on the cash calendar – was pretty shocked but I still have a photo of the letter and the cheque they sent me. The bank teller had a good laugh about it when I went to deposit it at the branch. Prior to that, I won a couple of the smaller worthless prizes (a Bluetooth speaker and something else)

Haven’t won anything since, but I’ll try my luck for this draw and see what happens.

  5. It’s real but people will believe what they want. I have 2 repeat 2 co-workers go ask them if it’s real after both won the grand prize homes (both govt workers) so there stick it bitches!!
