Lottery99 Exposed — Is It Really Smart to Play There?

Lottery99 Exposed

Lottery99 Review

We all had a chuckle looking at Lottery99.com as the button to click to play any of the lotteries is “Play Smart”. One of the things that are smart on this online lottery betting site is the different currencies you can click to see the value of the lottery. We definitely had some fun seeing what the Mega Millions draw looked like in different currencies. But let’s look at what they think is smart on their site.

Lottery99.com’s Games

You did note the “online betting site”. Lottery99.com is a platform for players to bet on international lotteries including US Mega Millions & Powerball, Euro Millions & Euro Jackpot, Spain’s La Primitiva, the UK National Lottery, New York Lottery, Germany’s Lotto 6aus49. Italy’s Superstar SuperEnaLotto & the regular SuperEnaLotto. Italy Superstar is actually a variation of the well-known SuperEnaLotto. One thing that is different is players can choose up to 25 numbers per ticket line, though of course the more numbers you play, the more it the ticket line costs – this is their “Smart Play”.

Join a Group Play

Lottery99.com offers group play for all lotteries. Each group (syndicate) has 150 shares of 150 ticket lines – well that is for some of the lotteries. Some of them are only for 50 ticket lines and the number of shares staying at 150. The ticket lines are pre-chosen and you can see them before you click on “proceed”. They are random with no real system which I personally like versus the same number using different bonus ball combinations.

Bonuses at Lottery99.com

Lottery99.com does offer a Money Back Guarantee of €10 refunded for every €200 deposited to your account. Their Welcome Bonus is a €2 credit. They also say in their terms and conditions that you will get free participation in a lottery pool with no details. The Tell A Friend is the same though no €2 credit – we think. There is also the ole VIP Frequent Player Points system that kicks in at 500 points with each $1 spent (weird they are now saying dollars versus euros) you get one point.

My Money

Getting your winnings, the minimum withdrawal amount is €25 (or other currencies equal to this) and can only be withdrawn in Euros or Dollars. Small winnings are deposited straight to your account though there could be delays with bigger amounts while they get the money from their insurers. That’s how they do this – payout bets. There is no definition of what is small and what is large except they do charge a 10% commission on anything won on or over US$ 1,000,000. One of the interesting things is that you do get the total amount as you are paid through an insurance company so there is no tax applied (like the state and federal tax for US Mega Millions or Powerball).

Beware the Sign Up

What was strange about this is the only way to chat is to sign up through Gmail or Facebook – and this means you have signed up with an auto credit of 2 Euros. All I wanted to do is ask a few questions. Repeated emails started appearing on my Gmail account with a link chat button that took me to their site. This is no information on when someone is actually there. Lottery99.com is owned and operated by Aqua Marketing Ltd. out of London, England. There is a snail mail & email address, and UK telephone number.

The Bottom Line at Lottery 99

I don’t particularly like the only way to get information before signing up is to sign up though they only have my standalone email address with no other information. I won’t get into the betting versus actually buying tickets, but we all found it a little strange that they don’t publish who they insure with. I mean that is key to knowing you actually will get any of those mega wins.

Pros:

No Taxes Taken on Lotteries

Bonuses

Cons:

Commission on Mega Wins

Syndicate Shares Ratio to Tickets

Who Is the Insurer?

This site gets a thumbs down as we don’t think it is that “smart” to play here. The concept of getting the total winning amount (versus fewer taxes) of some of the mega draws held internationally is cool, but we would want a lot more information on who the actual insurer is.

This Lottery Agent Is Closed

  1. Be aware! Make the mistake of asking a question means you have to give them your email address and look out as they continually send emails over and over and over again! It’s annoying and there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop it!

  2. Well, in my opinion, the fact that there are no taxes on lotteries is a big turn on for me! The additional fact that the ticket lines are picked at random is a big win-win too. Their Welcome Bonus is a €2 credit and another €2 to tell a friend. Sounds like music to my ears.
