hello,
Just wanted to follow up, the site seems pretty good but American players aren’t allowed. I like Nick’s reviews, however I would recommend stating whether or not they take American players on the review.
Hello, Freddy has responded to my comment and according to the site it should be on page 2. However, I click on page 2 and it’s not there, nor is it underneath my original comment. Could Daisy or Nick, let me know how I can see it. Thanks.
Hi Bryan, thanks for letting us know. We’ll check this issue and update you. Daisy
Hey Bryan, now you should see it. Daisy
Hello Nick, about the fact that they retain ownership of ticket. Why do they feel the need to retain ownership when no other site has to do this? Why are they different than say thelotter or wintrillions who don’t retain ownership? If the other sites can buy your tickets with no problem, why do they have a problem? This is suspicious and your explanation doesn’t really make sense to me.
Hi Bryan,
I’m Freddy from GiantLottos.com. If I may address your question raised-
GiantLottos operates under Cypriot jurisdiction. An independent Cypriot Legal team deemed that the safest for us to offer our service was to retain ownership of tickets bought. We (GiantLottos) then set out our structure according to the legal advise we receive to ensure compliance within Cypriot law.
We would suspect that the other two lotto agents you refer to are based in a different jurisdictions where different legal advise and structure was applied by their own legal team under guidance.
The bottom line is however that the majority of official lotteries state that residents from overseas may NOT purchase tickets. Under legal guidance as described above, we have mitigated this portion by stating that we are the sole purchaser and owners of the ticket whilst contractually obliged to pay out the equivalent against any win on a specific ticket. If you think about it, this is exactly what TheLotter and Wintrillions are doing anyway unless they are personally mailing you EVERY winning ticket from $1 upwards for you cash out yourself instead of cashing out your ticket themselves and automatically crediting your online account with the winning amount.
Ultimately we’re all offering the same service however different jurisdictions may dictate that slightly different service structures and interpretations are applied. Please remember though that these structures and interpretations are there to protect you the consumer just as much as us,the service provider.
Please advise if this explanation helps otherwise we’re happy to assist further.
Regards,
Freddy
