Every day you hear about some lucky person winning big on a scratch ticket -in another state. I have never heard of anyone winning scratch tickets bought in Arizona. My opinion is a new game is announced with a top prize, it’s around for a while and then it just goes away. I believe that the top prize or any other large prize is not really available to win. It’s all about selling those tickets and making a huge profit. There might be a few small winners. The az lottery just announced they had a 90 billion dollar profit and paid out a very small percentage in winnings. I have spent way too much money on these worthless pieces of paper mainly out of habit. I have no real expectations of winning and I am never surprised by the results. I am embarrassed to continue buying them when a majority of the time I spend 20 and possibly win 5. If you want to try your luck you’re better off going to the casino. I would like to know where does all the money the state gets in profit go? I would like to see something documenting how the money is used. I would also like an accurate accounting of winnings paid out on each game. It would be more believable if an outside agency reviewed the az lottery as it is now there is no accountability.
What happens when a scratch game ends and a new one is introduced what happens with the unsold tickets, it’s probably all the winners they never entered in the system!

Arizona Lottery is a money grab for the state. I have only won a small prize of $750 on the Pick 25 years ago. The odds are extremely low for a winning ticket. If you play just try a couple of bucks once in a while.

I got 4 losing $50 500x scratches in a row but the overall odds are 2.5 to 1 or if that’s not accurate enough even then the low prize its 1 in 4 odds so I should of had a sure $50 win but didn’t so it’s false odds advertising
Lol, thats not how odds work. That means if the printed 1 million tickets then yes 1 in 4.25 are winners. Just because you buy 5 doesn’t guarantee a win. Just as if someone else somewhere else may buy 5 and might have 3 winners. That’s how odds work.
