When we first popped into islotto.com, we made the mistake of forgetting to be put the “en” on the end and ended up with Turkish. Thankfully, we noticed the little button at the top and clicked to English. Istlotto.com/en is an online lottery provider that yet again, uses the Lottotech platform. It does make it fairly easy to surf around and it is interesting what has been or has not been done compared with some of the other sites. So, let’s see what is different.
Games at Istlotto.com/en
Istlotto.com/en offers 18 lottery games including US Powerball and Mega Millions, EuroJackpot and EuroMillions, UK EuroMillions, El Gordo, Oz Lotto and Australian Powerball, UK National Lottery and Thunderball, France Lotto, Irish Lotto, Mega-Sena, Canada 649, and US State Lotteries including California Superlotto Plus, Florida Lottery, Hoosier Lotto and Hot Lotto. Players can choose their favorite numbers or use the quick pick feature. There seems to be no limit on how many tickets players can purchase including just one!
What They Don’t Offer
There are no syndicates and no discounts for multiple draws at Istlotto.com. There is the usual “Lottery Info” which is a great breakdown and explanation of each of the lotteries offered. The “Lottery Results” is pretty standard. Then there is the Statistics (Frequency Lottery Calculator) and Mystics (Lotto Horoscope, Numerology & Luck Numbers).
Istlotto & Winning
Winnings under USD 600 are transferred directly into your account. For winnings USD 600 and over, istlotto.com/en will deliver the lottery ticket and claim form to you – at your cost. You, the winner, must collect your prize yourself though they do say they will help. There is no commission charged, though third-party fees might apply. IstLotto also publishes a deposit and withdrawal threshold though this was a little weird. They use a weird designator “Minimum deposit amount through Cepbank is 20 TL” which is a Turkish bank. The official currency of Turkey is Turkish Lira or “TRY”. 20 TL equals about USD 7. Add to this according to their T&C, the money will be paid in USD or EURO and will use the Bank of Scotland as the exchange rate calculator. Okay – this seems weird.
What’s with the Emirat Logo
You might wonder about the Emirat insurer logo on their site. There is nothing in their terms and conditions on why they have added this given they say they actually purchase tickets on behalf of players. Most of the time, online lottery providers insure when the site involves betting versus actual tickets purchased. We can only guess that this inclusion of an insurer comes from their ownership that runs a heap of casino and betting sites.
Who Are Istlotto.com?
Istlotto.com/en is owned and operated by Altair Entertainment N.V. There is no information on their site of where they operate out of but of course our team dug deeper and found that this company is registered and regulated by the government of Curaçao. We did finally track down a snail mail address but not on this site and there are no phone numbers. Istlotto.com does have an email address and online form – and that annoying pop-up menu “leave us a message”.
The Bottom Line at Istlotto.com/en
One of the basic things that are important is knowing who you are playing with, where they are and how to communicate with them. No phone numbers make us a little uneasy. There is no information on how quickly they will respond to emails and that is the only form of communication.
Lots of Lotteries to Play
Limited Contact Details
No Discounts or Syndicates
Our team gives these folks a thumbs down based on the lack of ways to communicate with IstLotto. There is nothing here that suggests that this IstLotto isn’t legit, but the team figures they’ll stick with some of the online lottery providers that are better communicators.
