PopuLotto Exposed — Yet Another Site by Kootac NV

PopuLotto Exposed

PopuLotto Review

Populotto.com is yet another site by Kootac NV out of Curaçao offering players the opportunity to bet on international lotteries online. They seem to shuffle up some of the lotteries they offer on different sites, excluding the core US and Euro mega jackpots. There are the odd add-ons and in this case, it’s their “BoosterBall”. Though they have a multiple language bar, the only thing that changes is the currency advertising the jackpots of each lottery. Okay, let’s go take a look.

Games at Populotto.com

Pop-U-Lotto offers betting opportunities for players for international lotteries including US Powerball & US Mega Millions, EuroMillions & EuroJackpot, Italian SuperEnaLotto and German Lotto 6/49. Players can choose to play one ticket line for one draw or all the draws held that week. Subscriptions are available for 2, 4, 8 and 52 weeks – but there are no discounts for multiple plays.

Pop-U-Lotto’s BoosterBall

Players can choose to add the “Boost‘o’Meter” to add to their chances. Click on the purple “B” and then chose the amount you want to bet between €1 to a maximum €10. Match three balls from your ticket line and you can win from €1.000 to €10.000 depending on what you bet. That’s a nice way to increase the prize amount for winning on only three numbers.

Prizes and Winning Jackpots

Though they say this is ‘betting on lotteries’, it appears that they do actually buy tickets though the player doesn’t own them. So, looking at their jackpot prize tier it starts to make sense that they are hedging their bets with how it is won. “If one person wins with lottodealer.com and there is no winning ticket, the winner gets the jackpot amount announced. If there is one lottodealer.com jackpot winner and two actual lottery winners, then he/she gets 1/3 of the jackpot. If there are two lottodealer.com winners and one actual jackpot winner, then the amount paid to each of the winners is 50% of the published jackpot.” The rest of the prize tiers are all straight forward”(article on lottodealer.com).

Let’s Play Together

Populotto.com offers three combination syndicates: Euro Combi, US Combi and VIP World. Euro Combi has 55 tickets played twice a week and 45 tickets played once a week with 88 shares. US Combi has 15 Mega Million tickets and 26 Powerball tickets played twice a week with 93 shares. VIP World combines Euro Combi, US Combi and adds 85 SuperEnalotto tickets and 10 6aus49 tickets for each draw that week. Minimum commitment to getting into any of the syndicates is one month. Players can choose a 3, 6 and 12 months subscription, but once you commit, you are in to stay.

Your Winnings at PopuLotto

Winnings go into your populotto.com account as soon as they are received from the “Bookmaker”. They might let you know by email or text if it is a big win. Winnings can be received in three currencies, US Dollars, Euros and British Sterling. There is a “100 units” minimum withdrawal amount of your chosen currency. Though you can put money into your account by debit or credit card, Skrill, Ukash or bank transfer, you can only take money out by transferring it to your bank account.

Does This All Look Familiar?

If you’ve been reading through our other articles you going to get that sense of deja vu! This is yet another site that is operated by Kootac NV (Curaçao) with their customer services and payments handled by Kootac Trading Ltd. (Malta). And one more time, there are no phone numbers or live chat. There is an online form, email and snail mail address.

Pros:

No Fees for Winnings

Syndicates

BoosterBall

Cons:

No Live Chat, No Phone Numbers

Cloning or is it All One Big Pot

Payment Comes from the Bookmaker – So When Do I Get My Money?

We’re giving these guys a thumbs down if only for lack of imagination. I don’t like the way these sites all seem cloned though there is no indication that they aren’t for real.

This Lottery Agent Is Closed

  1. I really don’t like the concept of betting on lotteries versus for real tickets. I like the fact I have my tickets – they are mine – even it is shared in a syndicate! Add to that it appears there are a bunch of these sites that all look the same and offer the same things. Definitely no phone numbers was the final straw!
