Badger 5 Wisconsin Exposed — Great Pick for People who Want Favorable Odds

Badger 5 Wisconsin Exposed

Badger 5 Review

Wisconsiners have it pretty good when it comes to lotteries. Badger 5 is the second local lotto that features daily drawings (after SuperCash). While the game fails to appeal to the ones looking for a massive jackpot, it’s definitely a great pick for people who want favorable odds of hitting the big prize.

Badger 5 is a cute little local lottery that has straightforward rules and excellent odds. If you live in Wisconsin or plan a trip to the state, you’ll probably find the following information beneficial.

A Brief Badger 5 Overview

The history of the Badger 5 started in the (not so) distant 2003. Ever since its inception, the game has featured the same format – choose 5 numbers from a pool of 31 for your chance to win the jackpot.

Badger 5 is characterized by daily drawings and a minimum guaranteed jackpot that grows in increments of 1,000 dollars until won. While the numbers sound anything but impressive, there’s some guaranteed growth. If you wait for the right moment and you’re lucky enough, you’ll end up winning a pretty cool prize.

How to Play Badger 5?

Badger 5 is a simple game. For a chance to win the jackpot, you’ll need to choose 5 numbers from a pool of 31. A single ticket will cost you a single dollar.

Ticket sales take place every single day until 9 p.m. The drawings don’t have a fixed hour – they take place as soon as possible after all of the respective day tickets are sold.

Apart from winning the jackpot, players have 3 additional ways to qualify for a prize. At least two of the 5 numbers for the respective drawing have to be matched.

At least 50 percent of the funds generated through ticket sales go toward the prize pool.

Prizes and Odds

The minimum guaranteed Badger 5 jackpot is 10,000 dollars. If there’s no winner, the sum will roll over towards the next drawing and increase by 1,000 dollars. The sum will keep on growing until the jackpot’s eventually won.

MatchOdds
5 of 51:169,911
4 of 51:1,308
3 of 51:53
2 of 51:7

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 169,911 – pretty impressive compared to the numbers for some of the national and international lotteries.

You’re probably wondering about the biggest Badger 5 jackpot ever. In May 2013, a Racine woman won 389,000 dollars. After taxes, the sum that the lucky lady got was 261,600 dollars. The winner was in the middle of updating her house, and she said that some of the money would go towards some of the repairs and purchases.

Apart from the jackpot, there are 3 additional prize tiers. Individuals that match 4 correct numbers will win a prize of 50 dollars. The odds of this happening are 1 in 1,308. Three correct numbers produce a prize of 2 dollars (odds of 1 in 53), and 2 correct numbers lead to a prize of 1 dollar (odds of 1 in 7).

Some Information for Badger 5 Winners

All of the players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to make a prize claim. Prizes of up to 599 dollars can be cashed out at any licensed retail venue. Prizes of 600 dollars and more can be claimed at the Wisconsin Lottery offices throughout the state. Addresses and working hours are listed on the lottery’s official website.

Jackpot winners will receive the prize in the form of a cash lump sum.

The Wisconsin Lottery prizes are all taxable. Players will get their winnings after the lottery makes an automatic tax deduction (for sums of at least 2,000 dollars). Both federal and state taxes will apply.

Can You Buy Badger 5 Tickets Online?

Badger 5 is a state lottery. This means that tickets aren’t available for purchase through online lottery agents. The game is open to residents of the state and people who are currently on its territory (both US citizens and foreigners).

Badger 5 is far from complicated, and that’s one of its biggest advantages. The odds are great, and the ticket price is meager. These are all great benefits that make Badger 5 in Wisconsin worth a try.

Here’s a summary of the lottery’s biggest advantages:

Why You Should Play Badger 5

Pros:

Badger 5 tickets cost only 1 dollar

The odds of winning the jackpot are excellent

There’s a minimum guaranteed jackpot of 10,000 dollars

The lottery is open to anyone in the territory of Wisconsin

All of this is wonderful, but are there shortcomings? Let’s examine some of how Badger 5 misses the mark:

Why You Shouldn’t Play Badger 5

Cons:

Is Badger 5 Wisconsin Legit?

Badger 5 is a legitimate state-run lottery. It’s one of the opportunities in the portfolio of the Wisconsin Lottery.

Wisconsin Entity operates under the Wisconsin Department of Revenue ever since 1988. The state organization is a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), yet another guarantee of fairness.

MUSL is an agreement between 33 state lotteries, and it was formed mainly for the regulation of games drawn across the states like Powerball and Mega Millions.

Ever since its early days, Wisconsin Lottery has developed a nice, solid portfolio. Some of the most popular lotteries that it currently offers include Pick 3, Pick 4, SuperCash, Monopoly Millionaire’s Club, Wisconsin’s Megabucks, Powerball, and Mega Millions.

Apart from being responsible for paying out prizes and ensuring the fairness of lottery drawings, Wisconsin Lottery is also the entity that allocates some of the money generated through ticket sales to good causes. Since its establishment, the organization has allocated over three billion dollars to property tax relief.

Badger 5 is a modest state lottery. Yes, it doesn’t promise millions of dollars. The odds of winning the jackpot, however, are pretty impressive. This is a completely legitimate, state-operated lottery. Thus, if you want to give Badger 5 a try, you have nothing to worry about.

  1. I have been playing Badger 5 for quite awhile now and have actually won the jackpot a few years back. Unfortunately I believe by watching the numbers drawn I for months upon months upon months I believe that the Badger 5 lottery is running a scam. It’s always the same last #’s drawn 26, 28,29,30,31,. I think the people running this game are running it for their own benefit or for the people they know. Besides 10,000 dollars is good money in this day and age especially the way this economy is where it’s at. You can’t prove me wrong. I see it every day when I pull up the #,s for Badger 5 and even the past #,s given. There needs to be a criminal investigation into this lottery so that it is fair for everyone not the sleaze bags making money off of it. It’s happens at other lottery’s around this country. It’s stupid to think it’s not happening here. Badger 5 is running a scam and the only people making money off of it are the ones running it.

  2. Spent 5$ and won 57k in Caledonia, Wi at speedway on Douglas and 4 mile in November of 2019. After taxes, the check was a little over 35k or so. Thankfully I was the only jackpot winner!

  3. I played a few times and love it. I just wish they would lift the lower prizes up some.

  4. Great game! I play almost every day! 🙂

  5. What a cute little lottery! I like the odds on winning even though what you win is not that much compared to some of the big mega lotteries available. But those odds certainly make it attractive. I just wish it was available online. I’d probably add this one to the other games I play just for those odds.
